What is the maximum width a ziptrak blind can be installed?

Our Ziptrak blinds can be installed up to a maximum width of 6m in both manual or electric and still operate smoothly. Special requirements it may be possible to install slightly over the 6m however we recommend not going over this distance or even if possible reducing this distance by the installation of a pole, shutter, or fixed panel.

How do these blinds handle the weather?

Ziptrak are known as the most robust track mounted blind system available. They are commonly installed throughout coastal regions and locations prone to high winds.

Can the blind be left at any height – or only fully up or fully down.

These blinds can be easily left at any height.

Manual : Just raise or lower the bar to the desired height and the blind will stay there without pins/clips/ropes or anything needed.

Auto : The remote has a up down and stop button.. when we install we set the top and bottom limits to suit the installation but the blind can easily be stopped and left at any height simply by pushing the stop button.

Can these blinds be left down in severe weather or storms?

NO – These blinds are extremely strong but in Severe weather or storm warnings these blinds should be up so they are not exposed to the possibly damaging weather.

Can you operate motorised blinds manually?

No – manual blinds are manual and electric blinds are operated via remote only, If you are worried about a power failure with the blinds stuck down. Ask the sales rep about the option of installing a UPS battery back up – so the blinds can still operate.

Maintenance

To apply, lower the blind all the way; evenly apply the spray in the groove between the spline and the track. Do this for the front of the blind only, on both the left and right sides. After lubrication, open and close the blind several times.

Cleaning

Do not use window cleaning detergents to clean the PVC. Clean the blind with Swiftee® outdoor blind cleaner. Never allow bird droppings, dirt or stains to remain on the PVC for long periods of time. 

After Installation

PVC and Sunscreen Mesh blinds have been rolled up for transportation. You may need to leave the blinds down for several days to allow the material to settle.suggest you to contact us and hire a trained professional.
